Margie was second cousin. Her grandmother, Vennie Spain Gateley, and my mother (Alene) were sisters. We knew each other in our high school years; she at Atwood High and I was a Trezevant student. Margie had a wonderful personality and was friendly to everyone - always smiling. I tried to contact her through her daughter on Face Book last year, but was not successful. Wish I tried harder. RIP Cuz.

Margie and I taught technology together at HCHS for a few years. We learned from a speaker at a workshop to always start your day with a good laugh- so we always yelled "Hey Beautiful!" And " Hey Gorgeous! " when we greeted each other. I loved to talk to her and get well grounded advice. I will miss my most beautiful friend. May God's peace be with the family.
